This was enjoyable and inspiring. Also feels familiar, especially the way he doggedly pushes himself, the business and his staff forward relentlessly. At the end of the day it proves what I’ve learned over the last few years – they’re all winging it!!
Was meant to be one of my holiday reads but ended up being one of those books that once you start you don’t want to stop! Couldn’t put it down and read it in a week. A glimpse into a whole other world.
Described as an epic but this was more like my nemesis! Think I’ve been reading it for over a year at least, kept putting it down but could never quite move away. I don’t know if I like it or not, I’m not sure if I completely know what the hell went on but for some reason I feel like I want to read it again – maybe some day!
This was good! Exciting, inspirational, educational and even had some crazy twists I didn’t expect at all. I didn’t expect this story to be so interesting. Definitely worth a read.
Easy going fantasy for me. Nothing special to be honest but at least it had something a bit different. Would read some of the others if I came across them in a 2nd hand book shop.
This wasn’t my usual type of book and it was tough going at times but it has something that makes it stick in the mind and I don’t know what that is!
One thing I did find kind of poignant is it made me think about a guy we know from home and how he decided not to follow the conventional life.
Thought this was better than the first, the ideas seemed to be more thought through. Started reading it as a break from another book I’ve been slogging through for ages and I read it too quick!
This was another easy read. Initially I thought I didn’t like it but that was because I didn’t like the main character which was actually how I think you were meant to feel and as you follow him through his journey things get better. Also what a challenging life!
Easy read. I kind of wasn’t that impressed and thought it was rambling a bit near the end of the middle section but I’ve already read the next one so I probably enjoyed it more than I thought!
This was a long read, not my typical book but the fact I stuck with it kind of shows I enjoyed it. It was an interesting story and I was surprised it was based on a true story. The characters were really brought to life and I kind of felt I learned something!
